Ohio State Football Recruiting: 2026 Four-Star QB Luke Fahey Recaps Official Visit, High On Buckeyes After Offer
Ohio State Makes Major Move for California Native 2026 Four-Star QB Luke Fahey
COLUMBUS, OHIO — With Official Visit Season winding down, the Buckeyes are expecting a lot of movement on their recruiting board these next few months. One key position to watch for awhile was the QB position. They finally found their target, and hosted him on an official visit.
That being 2026 Four-Star QB Luke Fahey. He was offered on his visit and the Buckeyes quickly became more of a contender than they were. He spoke to The Buckeye Tribune about his visit, the offer, and more on his recruitment.
Fahey raved about the visit, “The visit was amazing. The people there were amazing and the coaches were amazing to be around. Ohio state was the best visit I’ve been on.” He dived in on his interaction with Coach Fessler, “Being in the meeting room with Coach Fessler shows how much he loves football and I’ve heard nothing but good things about him and what he able to do at the QB position.” The Buckeyes have a lot going there way for Fahey.
Development is a big thing for Fahey, “I think it’s very important because they have a track record of developing QBs every year and that’s important knowing I’m going to a spot where they develop the best QBs.”
The California QB spoke on the offer, “I think getting that offer was so huge for me because I’ve been a fan for so long so it was very special to me.”
As mentioned, Development is a big key for his recruitment. But, another key factor for Fahey is culture. Fahey spoke on both of those and why they are key factors of his recruitment “Just going to a place where I’m gonna get developed into a better football player and a better man and then also culture going somewhere where everybody loves football they enjoy being there they’re just trying to get better every single day.”
Fahey is set to announce his commitment on July 3rd. Indiana and Stanford are the other competitors. But, it’d be shock if the Buckeyes lose out on Fahey. The Buckeyes did a phenomenal job with their official visit with Fahey.
