BREAKING: 2028 RB Elijah Newman Hall Commits To Ohio State!
Explosive Florida Back Brings Speed, Power, and Vision to Buckeyes’ 2028 Backfield
COLUMBUS, OHIO — The Buckeyes have landed their first 2028 Commitment. That commitment is future Five-Star 2028 RB Elijah Newman Hall out of Brooke, Florida. He was camping with the Buckeyes and left Columbus and committed to the Buckeyes. He spoke to The Buckeye Tribune on his commitment and more on the Buckeyes.
The Buckeyes stood out to Hall, “Ohio State stood out because of how much love. was shown during the visit.” He spoke on the timing of his commitment, “I knew it was the right time to commit because of the great coaches and people during the visit and how big of an opportunity this was for me and the feel of a Home and family.”
Coach Locklyn played a big part in the commitment of Hall, “Coach Lock was the biggest role player in my decision due to the fact he sat me and my mother down and told her that, He will make sure I am safe and treat me like I was his own, that stood out to me. Due to the fact, he doesn’t only look at the football standpoint of my career but deeper. Like after football making sure you're straight even after football is done and gone.”
Throughout the visit, him and his mom were treated well. He spoke about his family’s reaction to his commitment, “My family was happy for me overly excited and proud that I’ve come this far saying it’s well deserved and its blessing to even be in this position.”
Now, he is only a 2028 recruit so there is plenty of time for other schools to get involved. He said, “Before the Buckeyes, I had a few visits but the offers were still on the table.” Some schools that have offered Hall are Florida State, Miami FL, Florida Atlantic, Wake Forest, and a few others.
But he is extremely locked in with his Ohio State commitment, “I feel as if right now I am on the right track to being a perfect fit for what Ohio State Has Produced in the running back room. It’s just a matter of staying in shape and improving as well as good development through my next 3 years.”
As mentioned other schools will try to get involved. Here’s what he said on that, “I’d love to visit schools and Go around being able to get a chance to see what I would be “Missing” But It’s going to be Hard to Top what The OSU has To offer for me and my career, not only as a football player but as a faith led Man of God.”
