BREAKING: 2026 Four-Star DL Damari Simeon Commits To Ohio State!
Buckeyes Add Another Trench Monster as Four-Star Damari Simeon Joins 2026 Class
COLUMBUS, OHIO — Larry Johnson and Company strike big on the trail and lands the commitment of one of the more underrated DL prospects in the class. That being 2026 Four-Star DL Damari Simeon. He’s going to be a phenomenal prospect in Columbus.
Simeon has and was the biggest target on the DL for Larry Johnson and staff. His film is one of the best I’ve seen in a DL this cycle.
The Damari Simeon Profile:
Simeon picked Ohio State over Penn State, Michigan, Texas, and others. The 6’2 275lbs DL is a monster in the trenches. He attends St. Augustine Prep High School located in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. He’s an athletic monster that dominates in the trenches.
Scouting Report:
His explosiveness off the snap is a big factor in his game. He gets under blockers fast. Has incredible balance and body control. Simeon simply lives in the backfield, whether that’s getting the QB or RB. He’s a disruption type of guy that can excel to be insane.
His upside is tremendous, and makes him one of the favorite players in the class for a few fans. His scheme fit in Columbus should only set him to excel.

The Commitment Chase:
The Buckeyes battled Penn State for majority of this recruitment. As mentioned, Simeon quickly became one of Larry Johnson’s top targets. Simeon made a few stops to Columbus before his official visit there.
The Buckeyes simply beat out a “struggling” Penn State this class. But boy what a win it is, Simeon has so much potential.
